I was awoken from sleep in the early hours of Sunday 28 July by terrible upper back pain, within minutes I was vomiting. Very much like the Lucca event. This time the pain and vomiting continued unabated overnight. Around 10am I asked David to call an ambulance because things were not getting better and I was becoming more and more distressed.
Ambulance attended about 10.30am and after testing of vital signs and systems they said that could find no cause for the vomiting. They gave me an injection to overcome the nausea and vomiting and recommend paracetamol for the pain. They also told David to monitor and call again if things deteriorated. The vomiting stopped. I found a pill for mild to moderate pain that I had leftover from my hernia operation. I slept and slept and slept. Vomiting and nausea stopped and things returned pretty much to normal over the next few days but I my stomach and bowels did not feel “right”.
