I got the results of the biopsy today. Good and not so good news. As expected, Dr Jarvie confirmed that I have non small cell carcinoma (NSCC, adenocarcinoma). No sign of metastases in other parts of the body. However, there is cancer activity in 2 nearby lymph nodes. Seeing another doctor (radiologist), Wednesday morning to line up treatment directed by the multidisciplinary team at Prince of Wales. Likely to be combo of targeted radio therapy and chemo therapy. Nothing definite yet. Surgery unlikely. May be clearer after the consult on Wednesday.
Dr Foster is busy researching diagnoses, prognoses, treatment options, etc etc etc. Will be grilling the radiation oncologist tomorrow. He will feel like he is being examined to become a Fellow all over again!!! 😂🤣
